Happy Earth Day!
This past Saturday, on April 22nd, 2024 members of the Environmental Commission held our annual Earth Day Event at Liberty Park Nature Center. Events like this would not be possible without support from fellow neighbors and community members.
As the Chair of the Environmental Commission, coordinating an event like this I always have the worry in the back of your head “what if nobody shows up“, luckily that was not the case. While the freezing temperatures and wind certainly kept some people away, we were able to stay busy all day. Partnering again with the Twinsburg High School, Mrs. Kurt and students helped run various station activities and inform residents on positive ways to impact their community and earth environmentally.
Overall, it was great to see everyone out at Liberty Park and I could not be more grateful of the MetroParks for allowing us to host our event there. A special thanks to all volunteers and attendees.
