I’m excited to share that in partnership with Twinsburg Public Library a new Flag Collection Box has officially been placed at the main entrance of the Library. This bin is available for anyone in our community who has an old, worn, or damaged American flag that needs to be retired with proper respect.
This is important to me, as a number of my family members served our country and put their life on the line for the ideals our flag stands for. Proper flag retirement is an important tradition, and together we can make sure every flag is handled with the dignity it deserves. If you have a flag ready for retirement, please drop it off at the Library during normal business hours, or at the VFW’s box near the square.
If you know a school, business, or community space that would benefit from having a collection box of their own, let me know. I’m looking to place additional bins around the city to make this service even more accessible. You can reach out to me through the contact page on the website.
Let’s honor our flag and support our community together!
